Hypnotherapy has been a cornerstone of my practice for years, supported by extensive training and continued study. My approach is Jungian-informed, autism-friendly, and supportive of behavioral finance concerns, with attention to each person’s strengths, preferences, and goals.
I value the insight and resourcefulness clients bring, including skills developed through navigating sensitivity, neurodivergence, or difficult experiences.
You do not need to visualize or create mental pictures; we can work with words, sensations, and ideas. Private sessions include a personalized MP3, while my library offers on-demand guided recordings for different goals. If you’re unsure where to begin, I can help you to choose.
Understanding Hypnotherapy
I offer a range of services that include hypnotherapy
-
Hypnotherapy is a therpapeutic modality that uses focused attention, imagery, and purposeful suggestions to support your goals, including managing stress, changing habits, and developing more helpful responses to everyday challenges.
-
You won’t be asked to perform or do anything embarrassing. You remain able to speak, move, decline suggestions, or stop; the work follows your goals and values.
-
You may feel relaxed, absorbed, or close to sleep while still listening. Others feel alert. The aim is focused participation, and you don’t need to feel a particular way.
-
There is no physical procedure, and you do not have to recount every painful detail. Emotions can arise, so we work at your pace and adjust when needed. All sessions take this into consideration and prompts are placed to protect you and your experience.
-
Guided relaxation primarily helps you settle your mind and body. Hypnotherapy adds personalized, goal-directed work to explore patterns and practice new responses. Both can offer benefits; results vary.
-
I can adapt the pacing, language, imagery, and environment to your sensory and communication preferences. This flexibility is especially valuable in my work with neurodivergent people, those who identify as empaths, and trauma survivors.
-
No. Guided relaxation includes closed eyes and reclining. With hypnotherapy, you can keep your eyes open, gaze out a window, sit comfortably, or recline while listening. We choose what supports your comfort and attention. Staying still is not a requirement; in fact, many people have to change positions during sessions.
-
I bring extensive hypnotherapy education, advanced training, licensure, and professional credentials, detailed on my About page. I have supported hundreds of people with concerns involving stress, pain, addiction, trauma, unwanted habits, anxiety, and difficult life experiences.
-
Yes, depending upon the sessions, we will discuss this. My advanced training includes handwriting analysis and hypnotherapeutic art analysis. Optional writing and creative activities support reflection and exploration; no artistic skill is needed.
-
The approach uses attention, imagery, and suggestion and requires no spiritual practice. Your faith, values, and personal boundaries are respected and included, if you wish.
-
Hypnotherapy is discussed by the American Psychological Association, studied at universities, and used in clinical healthcare settings, including hospitals.
-
Take a few minutes to become fully alert, stand slowly, and have water if you wish. Never listen while driving. For my full hypnotherapy recordings, allow 24–36 hours between listens unless we agree otherwise.
-
Hypnotherapy can complement appropriate care. It might be all you participate in or it might be an adjunct. We discuss your needs during intake to determine whether this offering is a suitable fit.
-
The relaxation component might be immediate; however, true hypnotherapy works through learning and practice, with benefits that may build over time. Neuroplasticity, the brain’s capacity to adapt through changes in neural connections, supports this process. Meaningful change varies with your goals, circumstances, and participation; like with all therapies, immediate or complete relief cannot be guaranteed.
A personalized experience with up to three sessions
This experience includes up to three sessions, a personalized MP3 listening practice, and email communication to support your progress. The fee covers the complete experience and remains the same whether you choose to use one, two, or all three sessions. All sessions must be completed within 30 days of your first appointment.
Before your first session, you will complete the intake form at least 36 hours before the session. This intake form is very important for the development of the customized hypnotherapy audio.
Your first session
We’ll explore your goals and begin the therapeutic work. Within 1–3 days, I’ll send your personalized MP3, along with guidance for your listening practice.
Your second session
Schedule this session 10–14 days after you begin listening. We’ll explore your response and, where appropriate, adjust the recording or the frequency and intensity of your listening practice.
Your third session
If you choose to use your third session, we’ll reflect on your progress, address what still needs attention, and establish your ongoing practice. This appointment must take place within the original 30-day window.
Some people find relief after one session and consistent listening; others prefer the support of all three. Individual experiences vary, and our communication between sessions helps me understand and support your process. I encourage at least three email check-ins during your initial listening period.
Continue your listening practice over 12 weeks, with weekly listening after the initial intensive period. You’re welcome to email me throughout those 12 weeks with observations and questions.
